EXCEL – EASY LAB ONE

To complete these labs, follow the steps, which I have laid out for you. If you run into problems, consult the reference material on my yammer page, or Google answers to certain questions, if I am unavailable.

1. Start with this video. It is best to have an open Excel workbook opened to work on while watching.

2 – Follow these instructions to create your project. Pause and replay the steps if you get stuck, or go to the class resources on the yammer page.

 

 

 

 3.  Now create this on your own, using the skills you just learned in the previous section.

Lab

Create a workbook with these attributes.

 

  1. It should contain more than one spread sheet.  The spreadsheets should be related.

  2. Each spreadsheet should  contain at least 10 rows and 7 columns.

  3. The cells should contain both textual and numeric information.

  4. The information you use should be based in fact.

  5. Create columns that contain formulas with absolute and relative cells.

  6. Modify the fonts and size of the text to make the spreadsheet more visually appealing.
