My name is Dr. Matt Ciancetta and I have been a faculty in the  Mathematics Department at Western Oregon University for more than 10 years. Please feel free to call me Matt! Here at WOU I have primarily focused on K – 8 mathematics education for preservice and inservice teachers. Before WOU, I worked as a mathematics professor at California State University, Chico. My Ph.D. is in mathematics education from Portland State University (2007). Fun fact: I served 2 years in in the early 1990s in the Peace Corps teaching math in Ghana, West Africa.
