Beyonc\u00e9 has announced the second part of her \u201cRenaissance\u201d album, which is a t<\/span>hree-act installment<\/span><\/a>. However, this album takes a different approach than her previous ones because it classifies as country; it is said to come out on March 29. <\/span>Fans are referring to the album as \u201cRenaissance Act II\u201d or \u201cAct II<\/span><\/a>,\u201d although the name of the album remains unknown.<\/span><\/p>\n

The news was dropped during the Super Bowl halftime show and confirmed to be country. Beyonc\u00e9 also starred in a Super Bowl commercial with Tony Hail by acting as \u2018firsts,\u2019 such as the first female president. The commercial ended with a voiceover stating,<\/span> \u201cok, they ready, drop the new music<\/span><\/a>.\u201d Later on the same Super Bowl Sunday, the songs \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em\u2019\u201d and \u201cAct II,\u201d both country, were released and posted to her Instagram.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s new country album did not come without controversy. A country station, KYKC 100.1, refused to play Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s new country music on their station, and Roger Harris, the owner of the station, stated they get a high volume of calls to play Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s new songs, which on other stations, played up to eight times a week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The release of \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em\u2019\u201d and \u201cAct II\u201d has been met with backlash from country listeners who don\u2019t consider her music \u2018real country.\u2019 This has led to many stations facing the problem of receiving hundreds of calls or sticking to more traditional country music.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bobby Bone, along with many other Beyonc\u00e9 fanatics, finds it interesting that there has not been much controversy surrounding Post Malone\u2019s upcoming country album despite the two artists delving into the genre for the first time simultaneously. Fans think that an artist can tackle multiple genres of music. Along with creating attention for Beyonc\u00e9, the singer-songwriter has also generated attention for country music. <\/span>Some say that country music is being more widely talked about now that there is this controversy<\/span><\/a>, and that either way, the controversy is good for the genre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is unknown where the new album will be available for streaming, but the two songs that were released became available on <\/span>Tidal before Spotify or Apple Music<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s new music has country listeners and Beyonc\u00e9 fans divided. Although there is this divide, attention is being brought both to the genre and the artist herself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
