As the sun starts to come out, so do many of the annual events near Western. Almost all of them occur on the weekends, making them fairly accessible to students. Here\u2019s a short list of upcoming events to get you started when festival season starts to roll around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Food Truck Frenzy:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Put on by the Willamette Humane Society, this pet-friendly event featuring music, food and drinks will be happening this May. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Date: May 17<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Address: 4246 Turner Rd SE, Salem<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Willamette Valley Wine Festival:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is an event held on the Salem riverfront, a beautiful place during the spring. The Willamette Valley Wine Festival is a great chance to enjoy one of the Willamette Valley\u2019s famous products, and a great chance to support local businesses while enjoying Salem in springtime. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Date: May 19<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Address: \u00a0Riverfront City Park: 200 Water St SE, Salem<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Portland Rose Festival: <\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nothing says spring like a festival celebrating flowers. The Rose City\u2019s annual Rose Festival is one of it\u2019s most famous events, located in downtown Portland near the riverfront. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Date: Begins May 24<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Address: Tom McCall Waterfront Park: 98 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Canby Wine, Food and Brew Fest:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Part of Clackamas County\u2019s annual Fair and Rodeo, this Canby festival at the Clackamas County fairgrounds is another great event for experiencing the Willamette Valley\u2019s signature tastes. While you\u2019re at it, you can also experience a classic county fair rodeo. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Date: May 31<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Address: 694 NE 4th Ave, Canby<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Oregon Renaissance Fair:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Period costumes, music, vendors and entertainment are all part of Canby\u2019s annual Renaissance fair.
