COPS \u2014 the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services is the office of the U.S. Department of Justice that advances the practice of community policing in America\u2019s state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies. COPS does its work principally by sharing information and making grants to police departments around the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

Western Community Policing Institute (WCPI) was established in 1996 as one of the national networks of Regional Community Policing Institutes (RCPI). WCPI provides innovative nationwide training and technical support on issues vital to community safety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BJA\u2019s mission is to provide leadership and services in grant administration and criminal justice policy development to support local, state, and tribal justice strategies to achieve safer communities. BJA supports programs and initiatives in the areas of law enforcement, justice information sharing, countering terrorism, managing offenders, combating drug crime and abuse, adjudication, advancing tribal justice, crime prevention, protecting vulnerable populations, and capacity building.<\/span><\/p>\n
