The Bilingual and Biliteracy in Spanish Certificate of Achievement is a 16-credit program composed of four 4-credit courses. This certificate guarantees professional Spanish language proficiency as well as professional\u00a0knowledge of Latino culture\u00a0and politics and is designed for undergraduates and post-baccalaureate students also seeking a SBBC certificate. As this certificate makes students develop an individualized professional portfolio, students pursuing the Spanish Major, or Spanish Minor are able to pursue the Certificate along with their Major\/Minor courses. Students may also enter the program with a Baccalaureate and pursue the Certificate by completing the required courses (16 credits).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A Bilingual and Biliteracy in Spanish Certificate of Achievement certificate provides students with professional knowledge of language, literature and culture of Spanish, the second most spoken language in the US, which is also a booming language in Oregon. This gives a significant added value to candidates looking for jobs in a wide array of careers, as there is high demand for bilingual professionals in education, business, law, and medical fields.<\/span><\/p>\n
