Curtain Call

In memory of founder, Stan Schmidt

Wed, Nov 11 @ 8:00 AM: Online Bidding Begins! (Online Catalog Posts Nov 2)

As always, we’ll have a variety of wonderful items and experiences for your bidding pleasurenew ones, as well as traditional favorites. Here’s the difference for 2020: you will have the opportunity to bid competitively over five days from the comfort of your home computer or the convenience of your mobile phone. Peruse the online catalog in advance and get ready to place your bids in our virtual auction space, all easily accessible through one central link.

Sun, Nov 15 @ 7:30 PM: Livestream Program

The Online Auction will culminate in a livestream program hosted by none other than our beloved Paul Schultz. While Paul won’t be calling out your bidder number this year, he will be highlighting some specially selected items in the way that only Paul can do. He will be joined in-studio by a few special guests and some surprise entertainment. You won’t want to miss it, so be sure to tune in via this website.

Let’s connect virtually and have some REAL fun!

Your participation this year will help ensure the health of Smith Fine Art Series and the future of world-class performing arts and outreach activities for our wider community—not just those on WOU’s campus, but people of all ages throughout Polk County and the greater mid-Willamette Valley.

Stay tuned for more details…

Whether you’re a business or an individual, you can choose to sponsor our Online Auction and receive valuable recognition opportunities before, during, and after the event. And because it’s all online, when it comes to the number of people who’ll see your logo or name, the sky’s the limit! For more information on sponsorship, contact Lisa Schachter at
