Be smart and use your resources. Actually, we have more honor roll students than failing students who use tutors. We want you to have a successful, rewarding academic life at Western Oregon University.<\/p>\n<p>For drop-in tutoring\u2026 Come prepared with material and your V number.<\/p>\n<p>For a variety of lower division courses\u2026 Tutors are peer students, mostly juniors and seniors, who have been recommended by faculty in their subject area. Their goal is to provide academic support for all our students. Tutors have times available to schedule appointments. This means that you will be working with both professional academic advisers and directly with faculty members. <strong>Prior to registration each term, you will be required to meet with your academic adviser.<\/strong> WOU has also instituted an online degree-planning system called <strong>Degree Tracks<\/strong>, which is your tool to understand exactly where you are and where you are going in your academic program. Your adviser will <strong>expect<\/strong> that you have <strong>consulted the Degree Tracks<\/strong> system before you go into your <strong>advising session<\/strong>.
