Emily Machado<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\nShe\/They<\/span><\/p>\nEmily Machado received their Bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major in English (emphasis in Creative Writing) and Film & Media studies, alongside a minor in Professional Writing and Copy Editing.<\/p>\n
At WOU, Emily’s position coordinates Weekend Programming, manages the Housing Department’s social media, responds to on-call emergencies, and (of course) advises RHA’s executive board!<\/p>\n
Beyond campus, Emily is extremely involved in the film community. They were a part of several competitive programs at UCSB for screenwriting, worked on several student film sets, and still love to talk about any mode of storytelling there is.<\/p>\n

This is my third year at WOU, and I\u2019m looking forward to working with both new and returning students to create a positive WOU experience for everyone. I was born and raised in Missouri and lived there until June of 2016, when I moved to Salem. When I\u2019m not at work, you can find me at home with my wife Kelly and our dog Parker. If I had to choose one TV show to watch for the rest of my life, it would probably be The Golden Girls, and if I had to choose one food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be sandwiches.
