{"id":4453,"date":"2016-05-18T09:11:07","date_gmt":"2016-05-18T16:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wou.edu\/music\/?page_id=4453"},"modified":"2020-09-25T09:28:59","modified_gmt":"2020-09-25T16:28:59","slug":"mm-concert","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wou.edu\/music\/handbook\/mm-concert\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Concert Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>Graduate Concert Guidelines<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Students will perform a master\u2019s concert that represents the work they have done during their graduate studies at WOU.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Students will identify a <span style=\"color: #993300\">Graduate Concert Committee<\/span> comprised of three members of the music faculty, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The student\u2019s MUP instructor<\/li>\n<li>Two music faculty members of the student\u2019s choice<\/li>\n<li>At\u00a0least one tenured\/tenure-track music faculty member<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The scope of the concert \u2014 its length and complexity \u2014 is at the discretion of the <span style=\"color: #993300\">Graduate Concert Committee<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Three weeks before the planned concert, the student will present it to the <span style=\"color: #993300\">Graduate Concert Committee<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All performers must be present at the jury. A video may be substituted upon prior approval by the <span style=\"color: #993300\">Graduate Concert Committee<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>All aspects of the performance \u2014 musical, theatrical, &amp; technical \u2014 must be available for review by the <span style=\"color: #993300\">Graduate Concert Committee<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Complete program notes \u2014 minimum of 600 words \u2014 will be presented to the <span style=\"color: #993300\">Graduate Concert Committee<\/span> at this time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The performance presented must be the one approved by the <span style=\"color: #993300\">Graduate Concert Committee<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Concerts must be presented in Smith Recital Hall or at a venue approved by the <span style=\"color: #993300\">Graduate Concert Committee<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Graduate Concert Guidelines Students will perform a master\u2019s concert that represents the work they have done during their graduate studies at WOU.
