The following guidelines and application materials are for incoming Freshmen and undergraduate transfer students<\/strong> only.<\/em><\/p>\n
To be eligible for music-related scholarships, students must apply for a\u00a0<\/span>Music Department Scholarship<\/a>\u00a0<\/span> and fill out the WOU\u00a0<\/span>General Scholarship application<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span>Please note that many of these scholarships require students to complete a FAFSA\u00ae form with the Financial Aid Office.<\/em><\/p>\n
Please note that priority consideration will be given to those who audition on the scheduled audition date: February 1st, 2026, but students may apply throughout the year.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

INSTRUMENTALISTS\u00a0(except prospective Jazz Studies majors)<\/em>:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Video record two (2) separate pieces of contrasting styles. One of your pieces may be selected from solo repertoire, etudes, or excerpts. You may also be asked to prepare certain scales. The DeVolder Honors Recital <\/strong>is scheduled for Thursday, March 5th, 2026<\/strong>\u00a0at 11:00am for those students who have been selected to participate.<\/em><\/p>\n

Complete and submit a Returning Music Major Scholarship Application Form <\/a>and requisite audition materials\u00a0<\/span>by 5:00pm\u00a0January 15th, 2026<\/strong><\/em>. Students who fail to submit materials by this deadline will will not be eligible for scholarship consideration.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n
International Students (only) must fill out the\u00a0<\/span>EFC Calculator<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0and print out the completed worksheet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
All returning music major scholarships will be announced at the annual Music Department Award Ceremony at the end of Spring term.<\/em><\/p>\n
