Create the site in WordPress<\/h2>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n4. Fill in the site address, title, and admin email and then click the \u201cAdd Site\u201d button.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nThe site address should be as short and as intuitive as possible. For academic departments, please include \u201cdepartment\u201d after the department\u2019s name. For example, the Art Department\u2019s site address would be wou.edu\/artdepartment<\/a>. Make sure to check that there isn\u2019t a page for the site address already. In this case, wou.edu\/institutionalresearch<\/a> directs users to the already existing Institutional Reasearch website. To fix this, put a \u201cnew-\u201d in front of the site address. This will be removed when the site goes live. For the Admin Email, type in \u201cnetwork-manager\u201d in the box and select the suggested user.<\/p>\n5. After clicking \u201cAdd Site\u201d, WordPress will redirect you back to the \u201cAdd New Site\u201d page and display a small success message that lets you know that the site has been added. Click the \u201cVisit Dashboard\u201d link inside the sucess message to navigate to your newly created site\u2019s dashboard.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n6. Now we need to make the site private. We can make it public again later, but we don\u2019t want people looking at our site until it\u2019s ready. To do this, Navigate to Settings \u2013> Reading. On the Reading page, select \u201cI would like my site to be visible only to Registered network users\u201d and click \u201cSave Changes\u201d.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n7. Let\u2019s add a user to the site so that the person who will be managing and updating the site in the future will be able to do so. To accomplish this, navigate to the Users page and click \u201cAdd New Directory Authenticated User\u201d. Enter in the user\u2019s Pawprint username, select \u201cAdministrator\u201d from the Role dropdown box, select the \u201cSkip Confirmation Email\u201d checkbox, and click \u201cAdd New User\u201d.<\/p>\n

Change the Theme<\/h2>\n<\/h1>\n
Go to Appearance \u2013> Themes and then click Activate on the WOU theme.<\/p>\n

1. Navigate to Tools \u2013> WOU site setup, select \u201cSet up as full subsite (includes basic options)\u201d, and click \u201cSet up this subsite!\u201d.<\/p>\n

- Navigate to Toolset \u2013> Export \/ Import.

<\/li>\n - Now click the Click the \u201cBrowse\u2026\u201d button. Select the file you want to Import and click the \u201cImport file\u201d button. Select the configuration file that you downloaded in the popup window and click the \u201cOpen\u201d button. Click \u201cImport file\u201d to import the types configuration file.
