All residents who plan to LEAVE LATE, RETURN EARLY, or stay the ENTIRE BREAK you must complete the Spring Break Stayover Form by 4pm March 18, 2026.<\/strong> Starting March 2nd the Spring Break sign up will be available on your Housing Overview, from the main menu select Spring Break. You will be able to stay in your current room for the break. If you are not enrolled for Spring term classes AND not planning to live on campus next term, you are not eligible to stay for any portion of the break- please contact the housing office for checkout instructions.<\/em><\/p>\nIf you are leaving late\/returning early, see below for how to prep your room before leaving for break.

How To Prep Your Room Before Leaving For Break
<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\nTo avoid any fines and policy violations, do everything on the list below BEFORE you leave:<\/p>\n
\n- Unplug everything, except microfridges.\u00a0 Arbor Park residents, do not unplug your full-size refrigerator.<\/em><\/li>\n
- Remove any window decorations\/coverings.<\/li>\n
- Close and lock windows and close your blinds.<\/li>\n
- Throw away any perishables that will go bad before you return.<\/li>\n
- Remove all personal belongings from bathrooms and other common areas.<\/li>\n
- Empty and remove all trash\/recycling.<\/li>\n
- Report any maintenance issues by submitting a work order.<\/li>\n
- Pick your personal items up off the floor- should there be any leaks or issues with pipes this will help protect your personal items from water damage.<\/em><\/li>\n
- Set your heater to the 1st setting.<\/li>\n
- Turn off the lights and close your door, making sure it locks behind you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

STAYING ON CAMPUS FOR THE BREAK?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
All residents who plan to LEAVE LATE, RETURN EARLY, or stay the ENTIRE BREAK you must complete the Spring Break Stayover Form by 4pm March 18, 2026.<\/strong> Starting March 2nd the Spring Break sign up will be available on your Housing Overview, from the main menu select Spring Break. You will be able to stay in your current room for the break. If you are not enrolled for Spring term classes AND not planning to live on campus next term, you are not eligible to stay for any portion of the break- please contact the housing office for checkout instructions.<\/em><\/p>\nIf you are leaving late\/returning early, see below for how to prep your room before leaving for break.
<\/em><\/p>\nA $100 Spring Break Stayover fee will be charged to students accounts to stay on campus for any portion of the break. <\/span><\/strong>Except for Arbor Park residents, they will not be charged, but they must still sign up to stay.<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Prep Your Room Before Leaving For Break
<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\nTo avoid any fines and policy violations, do everything on the list below BEFORE you leave:<\/p>\n
- \n
- Unplug everything, except microfridges.\u00a0 Arbor Park residents, do not unplug your full-size refrigerator.<\/em><\/li>\n
- Remove any window decorations\/coverings.<\/li>\n
- Close and lock windows and close your blinds.<\/li>\n
- Throw away any perishables that will go bad before you return.<\/li>\n
- Remove all personal belongings from bathrooms and other common areas.<\/li>\n
- Empty and remove all trash\/recycling.<\/li>\n
- Report any maintenance issues by submitting a work order.<\/li>\n
- Pick your personal items up off the floor- should there be any leaks or issues with pipes this will help protect your personal items from water damage.<\/em><\/li>\n
- Set your heater to the 1st setting.<\/li>\n
- Turn off the lights and close your door, making sure it locks behind you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

For students who will not be returning to live on campus for Spring Term, you must submit a Petition<\/a> to the housing office for approval to break your residential contract. If approved, your checkout must be completed by 5pm Friday, March 20, 2026.<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Note: Cancellation fees for breaking your Housing Contract may apply.<\/em><\/p>\n
Improper checkout fee is $150.

The University Housing office will remain OPEN during the entirety of Finals Week and Spring Break. <\/b><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nPlease review the important details below:<\/strong>\n

- The Residential Complex closes at 5 PM on Friday, March 19 and will remain closed throughout Spring Break, Saturday, March 20 through Noon on Sunday, March 28, 2021.<\/b><\/li>\n \t
- If you choose to stay on campus during Spring Break, with the exception of Arbor Park residents, your account will be charged $100 to stay for any or all of the break. <\/b><\/li>\n \t
