The colloquia are selected through a competitive process by the Faculty Senate Honors Committee. They are designed to allow highly motivated and dynamic teachers and students the opportunity to learn together. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large\">Because of the diversity of student majors in the Honors Program, courses are oriented towards non-majors and have no prerequisites. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large\">Past courses have ranged from once-in-a-lifetime offerings to enhanced versions of courses that faculty regularly teach well. \u00a0If student and faculty interest is high, occasionally a colloquium will be offered more than once. The colloquia are selected through a competitive process by the Faculty Senate Honors Committee. They are designed to allow highly motivated and dynamic teachers and students the opportunity to learn together. Because of the diversity of student majors in the Honors Program, courses are oriented towards non-majors and have no prerequisites.
