However, if you don&#8217;t give yourself time to relax and rejuvenate, you may feel overwhelmed and worn out; this could end up hurting your grades, your work, your relationships, and other aspects of your life. Our brains and body aren&#8217;t meant to work in overdrive, and they actually do better with semi-frequent breaks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You may feel guilty or selfish for taking time for yourself.<\/strong>\u00a0Sometimes it may be difficult to tell people &#8220;No&#8221; without feeling guilty. But overall, if they are important to you, they&#8217;ll understand that you need to have time to yourself too.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You may want to put other people&#8217;s needs before yours<\/strong>. Helping others with their problems or being there for someone who needs it is great. However, if it negatively affecting your own mental health, you may need to take a step back and refer them to a more experienced professional.
