The Western Oregon University Foundation was founded in 1965 and is the fundraising-arm of Western Oregon University. A nonprofit corporation, governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees with IRS 501(c)3 status, the WOU Foundation\u2019s scholarship program includes more than 400 donor-funded scholarships. In addition, the foundation manages nearly 350 funds for academic and student programs. As of 2024, the WOU Foundation has approximately $30 million in assets and a permanent endowment of $25 million.<\/p>\n

We have shifted to online and remote-access classes and encouraged students to go home when possible while remaining open for students who are most vulnerable.<\/p>\n Future steps are unknown, but it is apparent that students have new stressors on their lives, including increasing expenses and potential decreases in earnings with the loss of work-study and hours at other jobs. The WOU Foundation is committed to supporting our students in these unprecedented times.<\/p>\n Are you wondering how you can help? Please consider giving to the Emergency Student Aid fund.<\/p>\n Emergency Student Aid offers WOU students in crisis an opportunity to receive support that may help with utilities, food, child care, transportation, medical care and other life essentials.
