If you are interested in submitting, please follow these guidelines:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Submissions are due by Friday of finals week in the term that the course was taken. Submissions will not be accepted after that.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Only one submission per student is allowed.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All submissions are reviewed by the editorial team.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All work submitted should represent the final, polished copy and the writer&#8217;s original work.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Submissions should be in Microsoft Word or Google Doc format and contain the following information: Name, Email, V#, Instructor, the course number\/term taken.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Papers should be submitted using the Google Form in your syllabus. If you need help submitting, please email the First-Year Writing Coordinator. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Publication decisions will be made early Spring term and all students will be notified of their submission status shortly after. A new issue of the anthology is published each spring. All spring submissions will be considered for publication in next year\u2019s issue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Has Your Submission Been Accepted for Publication?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Congratulations on having your work accepted! During Spring term, you will be contacted to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Make final edits or revisions to your piece (if necessary)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Write a short abstract for your piece<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Write a short bio of yourself<\/li>\n<li>Share keywords that represent your piece<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Submit a professional photograph of yourself<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please plan on attending the English Department session of Academic Excellent Showcase to receive your certificate.
