On Thursday, January 26th, 2023, the department of Health and Exercise Science will be hosting a career event for students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The HEXS Career Fair will be held from 9 am to 3 pm in the Werner University Center. The goal of this event is to bring high school and community college students to WOU campus, who are interested in health or exercise science.<\/p>\n

This event is beneficial for anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of health, working with and helping people, exercising or fitness, and making a difference in the community. If you are interested in any of these things, then public health or exercise science might be the perfect career path for you!<\/p>\n

During the event, students who attend will gain a deeper understanding of public health, have lunch with recruiters, practice professional interviews, attend breakout sessions, and look into future professional opportunities.<\/p>\n

Schedule of Events:<\/strong>
* 9:00-9:30 Check-in
* 9:30-12:00 Program sessions
* 12:00- 2:00 Lunch groups; meet with recruiters from various health care professions
* 2:00- 3:00 Tour the lab and meet the faculty<\/p>\n

Recruiters from healthcare professions attending will include:
<\/strong>* County public health departments
* Fitness professionals
* Health education centers
* Local school districts
* Faculty from graduate programs in athletic training, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and public health<\/p>\n
