In order to register for any ASL course beyond ASL I, you will need to complete ASL I at WOU or complete an ASL Placement Evaluation.<\/p>\n

• Evaluations take place during the fifth and sixth week of each term in anticipation of registration week.<\/li>\n
• The evaluation takes 15-20 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      American Sign Language (ASL) Placement Evaluations<\/h5>\nImportant information for students before registering for any ASL classes at WOU:\n

      \n \t
      • Students who have never taken an ASL class before may register for ASL 1 anytime.<\/li>\n \t
      • Students who have taken ANY ASL classes in the past (high school, other college or universities) will need to be evaluated for placement before registering into ANY ASL class except for ASL 1.  You are required to sign up for an evaluation to place you in the appropriate ASL class, reflecting your current ASL skills.<\/li>\n \t
      • Evaluation dates are scheduled during the 5th and 6th week of each term in anticipation of registration week.  The evaluation takes approximately 15-20 minutes.<\/li>\n \t
