Both types of workshops run for 60 minutes.

The accessibility trainings are designed to help WOU faculty and staff align with the Department of Justice’s Digital Accessibility Standards, which will go into effect late April of 2026. These trainings include guidance on text, image, audio, and video accessibility, including the use of different platforms and applications.

Each Canvas workshop covers a specific set of features of functions in Canvas, providing how-to demonstrations and additional resources. Effective teaching practice frames our approach to how these tools are used and modeled, but the primary outcome for these sessions is to improve your comfort using different components of Canvas on a technical level. We hope that by increasing your comfort with Canvas, you will be able to use its features in support of your pedagogical strategies.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider color=”#c4c6c8″ divider_position=”center” admin_label=”Divider” _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_divider][et_pb_heading title=”Workshop Format” admin_label=”Workshop Format Heading” _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” title_level=”h3″ title_font=”Montserrat||||||||” title_text_color=”#000000″ title_font_size=”25px” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_heading][et_pb_text admin_label=”Workshop Format Text” _builder_version=”4.27.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”–et_global_body_font||||||||” text_font_size=”18px” min_height=”23.4px” custom_padding=”||13px|||” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Canvas workshops are synchronous, facilitated trainings.
