Donating through the WOU Foundation program will help the WOU CERT Teams trained volunteers to increase their ability to help in the time of disaster and service to their community. WOU Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Donations made to WOU CERT will be used for Tools, equipment, radios, medical gear such as, back boards, disaster litters, tourniquets, LED flashlights, towing equipment, banners, tables, tents etc. The CERT Team would use this equipment for disasters to support a deployment and community events. Also assistance is needed in the ongoing \u201cskills refresher\u201d events that are conducted for our trained volunteers.<\/p>\n

<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\nCERT Training involves learning about how to conduct light search and rescue, assist with triage during rescue which involves first aid supplies. \u00a0Donating to the WOU CERT Team through the WOU Foundation office will help the Western Team build a supply of emergency resources. The team will work closely with the Western Oregon Emergency Response Committee to gather supplies for a campus emergencys.\r\n
