_module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Faculty, Staff, and Students<\/h2>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;-4px|||||&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The Student, Staff and Faculty Membership gives members access to everything located in the Health and Wellness Center. This includes Climbing Wall, Aquatic Center, Lower Courts, Indoor Track, Weight Room, Cardio Equipment, Fitness Classes and Racquetball Courts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_toggle title=&#8221;Membership options &#8211; WOU&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; title_text_color=&#8221;#db0a29&#8243; title_level=&#8221;h3&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"sub_head_1\" style=\"color: #db0a29\">Eligibility<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are three student membership categories as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student \u2013 Students who are currently actively taking on-Monmouth campus classes and paying full student incidental fees are automatically members of the Health and Wellness Center (HWC).<\/li>\n<li>Online Student &#8211; Students who are currently taking only online\/hybrid classes are eligible to purchase an HWC membership for the current term.<\/li>\n<li>Plus One Student \u2013 Students who were enrolled in the previous term and were paying WOU student incidental fees are eligible to purchase a Plus One Student pass that extends their eligibility with WOU for the one subsequent term. The extended HWC membership provides access to all the programs Campus Recreation oversees (Facility access, Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Fitness, Outdoor Trips, i.e.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Faculty\/Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current faculty\/staff members of WOU are eligible to purchase an HWC Faculty\/Staff membership through payroll deduction. WOU Faculty\/Staff who are also students must purchase the Faculty\/Staff membership in order to use the facility unless they are paying full WOU student incidental fees. This pass is available to purchase <a href=\"https:\/\/wou.dserec.com\/online\/memberships\/plans\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty, Staff and their families are also eligible to purchase a community membership and would have to follow the limitations of that membership. See Community section below for more information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Partner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A partner is the legal spouse of an eligible student, faculty, or staff member.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dependents<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A person who qualifies under IRS guidelines as the legal dependent of a student, faculty, or staff member who has a current HWC membership may be eligible to purchase an HWC Dependent membership. The following eligibility rules apply to dependents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ages 0-15 Dependents ages 0-15 are not eligible for membership but may participate during specific Youth Access Hours (see Youth Access Guidelines) by purchasing a community pass or daily pass.<\/li>\n<li>Ages 16+ Dependents ages 16+ are eligible to purchase an HWC Dependent membership. Dependents ages 16+ are eligible for most services, programs, trips, or classes with the exception of specifically designed, age-appropriate programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Unique Access<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>HWC allows access to facilities for visiting individuals or groups and limited-duration employees or volunteers who do not qualify for a WOU ID card. Mechanisms for creating access vary depending on the requestor&#8217;s situation. To cancel your non-student membership please revisit <a href=\"https:\/\/wou.dserec.com\/online\/memberships\/plans\">online<\/a> and follow instructions to cancel.<\/li>\n<li>The purchase of locker service is non-refundable. Locker transfers are available upon request.<\/li>\n<li>Special circumstances such as medical issues, leaving the university, or emergency situations may justify an exception to the general rule and will be handled on a case-by-case basis if immediate notification is given.<\/li>\n<li>The non-use of the facility does not qualify as a special circumstance.<\/li>\n<li>Refunds are first applied to the student\/WOU account balance. If a zero balance is present a check will be mailed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"sub_head_1\" style=\"color: #db0a29\">Member ID<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To enter the Health and Wellness Center, members must have their current Western Oregon University or HWC ID card\/ bar code found in Experience.<\/li>\n<li>The HWC ID cards are issued to Partners and Dependents 16+. The first HWC ID card is provided at no charge. Upon renewal, the original card will be activated.<\/li>\n<li>If an HWC ID card is lost or stolen, the member must purchase a new card for replacement at a cost per Western Oregon University&#8217;s Photo ID Card replacement cost of $15.<\/li>\n<li>Persons who are caught fraudulently using an ID card\/bar code other than their own will be denied entrance, the ID card may be confiscated, and both the individual and owner of the card may face disciplinary action and may be trespassed from the facility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"sub_head_1\" style=\"color: #db0a29\">Entry<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For entry to the facility and events, members must have a current WOU or HWC ID card\/bar code or have purchased a guest pass.<\/li>\n<li>Spectators are allowed to enter the facility free of charge to observe participants in scheduled, fee-based, non-academic instructional or sports programs.<\/li>\n<li>Entry may be refused or privileges suspended or revoked with sufficient cause.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals using an ID other than their own to gain access to the Health and Wellness Center may have privileges suspended for both the individual using the false ID and the valid member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=&#8221;Guest Pass &#8211; WOU&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; title_text_color=&#8221;#db0a29&#8243; title_level=&#8221;h3&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #db0a29\" class=\"sub_head_1\">Requirements<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The current WOU students, faculty, or staff must complete a Guest Pass form for guests to be allowed entrance.<\/li>\n<li>HWC staff reserves the right to deny access to a guest.<\/li>\n<li>See <a href=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/campusrec\/youth\/\">Youth Access Hours<\/a> for youth 15 years of age and under.<\/li>\n<li>Non-WOU Community members are not permitted to solicit students or members to sponsor access to the facility.<\/li>\n<li>The member is fully responsible for their guests. Failure to follow member guidelines and responsibilities will result in the loss of privileges of the facility. Upon renewal, the original card will be activated.<\/li>\n<li>If a COMMUNITY ID is damaged beyond usage, lost, or stolen, the member must purchase a new card for replacement at a cost per Western Oregon University&#8217;s Photo ID card replacement cost of $15.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to pay per use is also available at the HWC Front Desk. Each guest must sign a waiver and pay the drop-in fee. Exact cash or checks made payable to WOU at the HWC Front Desk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #db0a29\" class=\"sub_head_1\">Refunds<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To cancel your community membership please visit the HWC front desk. Campus Recreation&#8217;s refund policy is consistent with the <a href=\"https:\/\/wou.edu\/business\/tuition-fees\/concerning-refunds\/\">Business Office Refund schedule<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Purchase of locker service is non-refundable. Locker transfers are available upon request.<\/li>\n<li>Special circumstances such as medical issues, leaving the university, or emergency situations may justify an exception to the general rule and will be handled on a case-by-case basis if immediate notification is given.<\/li>\n<li>Non-use of the facility does not qualify as a special circumstance.<\/li>\n<li>Refunds are first applied to your account with WOU Campus Recreation. They are not eligible for use with the Community daily pass.<\/li>\n<li>Failure to follow member guidelines and responsibilities will result in the loss of privileges of the facility.
