WOU’s Art & Design Education Concentration<\/strong> is the only 4-year art teaching degree in Oregon. This Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) combines Art & Design and Education coursework, leading directly to teaching licensure. If you’re looking for the perfect way to become an art teacher in K-12 schools, this program is for you!<\/p>\n In this four year bachelor’s degree program, students are fully trained to teach in K-12 classrooms. They also complete studio coursework equivalent to an Art & Design major. The first three years of the program include courses in Art & Design, Education, and general education for a well-rounded college experience. The final year focuses on teacher training, including student teaching.
