It integrates scientific and humanistic perspectives to describe and analyze human behavior and biocultural diversity. In the introduction to\u00a0<em>Coming of Age in Samoa<\/em>, Margaret Mead wrote, \u201c\u2026 as the traveler who has been once from home is wiser than he who has never left his own door step, so a knowledge of one other culture should sharpen our ability to scrutinize more steadily, to appreciate more lovingly, our own\u201d (1928)<\/span><\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;42px||||false|false&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<p><span>In Anthropology classes, we challenge our students to journey through time and across cultures, to recognize and question their own assumptions, and to develop the kind of critical analytical skills that will serve them effectively throughout their lives.
