Prospective student and family tours

Weekday tours

During the School Year

  • Our Campus tours are at 10am, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm. The 10am tour is 60 minutes in length and does not include the residence halls. The afternoon tours are 90 minutes in length and include the residence
    halls.

During WOU Academic Breaks

  • We offer tours at 10am and 1:30pm. Tours are 90 minutes in length and include the residence halls.
  • If you have questions about when WOU is on Academic Break, please contact our Visitation Coordinator
    at visitcor@wou.edu.

Scheduling a Tour

  • All of our scheduled tours are conducted on a drop-in basis – no reservation needed! However, if you would like to meet with faculty or staff on campus, please complete the online Individual Visit
    Request Form. We ask that you submit this form 2-3 weeks before your planned visit so that we can fit these appointments into the schedules of our faculty and staff.
  • All tours begin and end at the Admissions Office, located in the Academic Programs and Support Center (4th Floor). We recommend parking in Lot D or on Jackson Street.
  • The Admissions Office is not responsible for coordinating appointments/meetings with coaches or staff from the Athletics Department. Students are advised to contact the Athletics Department directly to schedule an appointment with a coach.
  • Tours offered in Spanish or American Sign Language are available upon request. Please email visitcor@wou.edu and allow 2-3 weeks notice to accommodate these requests.
  • Our Visitation Coordinator can be contacted at 503-838-8227 or visitcor@wou.edu. Please note that our Visitation Coordinator is a current student and office hours vary due to their class schedule.

Saturday tours

Tours are offered on designated Saturdays during fall, winter and spring terms. Upcoming dates are:

  • Saturday October 5th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English.
  • Saturday November 9th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English and Spanish. Dr. Kristin Mauro, Director of Transfer Pathways, will be available to meet with transfer students. Please register for an appointment with Dr. Mauro.
  • Saturday November 23rd—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English.
  • Saturday December 7th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English and Spanish. 
  • Saturday January 25th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English and Spanish.
  • Saturday February 8th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English.
  • Saturday February 22nd—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English and Spanish.
  • Saturday March 7th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English and Spanish.
  • Saturday March 14th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English.
  • Saturday April18th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English and Spanish.
  • Saturday May 2nd—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English and Spanish.
  • Saturday May 9th—Admissions presentation and tour offered in English.

Saturday visits start with an optional admissions counselor presentation at 10 am followed by a tour, including the residence halls, at 11 am.

Admission counselor presentations are located in the Werner University Center’s (EQEQEQE room).

Tours depart from the Information Desk in the Werner University Center.

Free parking is available in Lot H or along Church Street.

The majority of our Saturday visits coincide with a NCAA Division II athletic event. We invite you to attend any of these events! Please contact WOU Athletics for details at 503-838-8121.

Appointments with faculty and staff are not available on weekends. If these activities are of interest to you, consider attending a Preview Day. Admissions doesn’t coordinate appointments/meetings with coaches or staff from Athletics. Students are advised to contact Athletics directly.

Lunch with a WOU Student
  • Students and families who wish to have lunch with a WOU student in our dining hall, Valsetz, should fill out the form below.
  • Lunch will be provided at no cost by the Office of Admissions for students and their guests.
  • Students and their guests should report to the Office of Admissions by 11:45 am.
  • Our campus Visitation Coordinator can be reached by phone at 503-838-8227 or email at visitcor@wou.edu. Please note that our Visitation Coordinator is a WOU student and office hours vary due to their class schedule.

A limited number of dates are available to have lunch with a WOU student. These dates are:

  • Friday October 25th
  • Friday December 13th
  • Friday January 31st
  • Friday February 28th
  • Friday March 20th
  • Friday April 17th

Group tours

Please submit this form if you are a school teacher/counselor or community-based organization staff member and are interested in scheduling a visit for a group of your students. Please allow at least three weeks to confirm date availability and prepare your agenda.
