In the 2025-26 and 2026-27 academic years, the Office of Academic Effectiveness will be supporting programs to align their course student learning outcomes (AKA, course goals) with their program learning outcomes. Programs that have completed Academic Program Review in the last two years have developed these maps. Please check back here as we work with program faculty on publishing these alignment tables. In the mean time, Program Student Learning Outcomes are published in <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.wou.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the catalog<\/a> each year!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Course Goals<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Course Goals are course-level student learning outcomes. They are statements of what students know, are, or can do by the end of a specific course. Whether or not students meet the Course Goals should be able to be measured quantitively or qualitatively. Course goals should inform one or more Program Learning Outcome and Undergraduate Learning Outcome and\/or General Education Learning Outcome as applicable.<\/p>\n<p>Use this link to look up <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1Gyj2a5dyFyyiwwjgwxdx84AfLOCVea1xm3-TP4h8958\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2025-26 course goals<\/a>. The first tab of the spreadsheet contains the comprehensive list of courses with course goals exported from the old curriculum management syystem. On this tab, you can also see how the course goals align to Undergraduate and General Education Learning Outcomes. The course goals have also been broken out by prefix or subject code.
