CounterACT Violence<\/strong> is a media campaign designed to combat myths about sexual and interpersonal violence, to increase awareness of strategies to prevent violence, and to promote campus resources.<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Goals of the CounterACT Violence<\/strong>\u00a0campaign:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. To dispel myths about sexual and interpersonal violence<\/li>\n
  2. To combat victim blaming<\/li>\n
  3. To empower individuals to take actions that can prevent violence<\/li>\n
  4. To provide resources for all students, including victims<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The CounterACT Violence<\/strong> campaign contains three components:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. A poster series<\/strong> that focus on how we can speak out and act against many forms of violence.<\/li>\n
    2. A video series<\/strong> that focuses on myths about sexual and interpersonal violence.<\/li>\n
    3. A smart phone app<\/strong> for Abby\u2019s House that contains information about seeking help. The app also incorporates information about myths and strategies for prevention violence.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
