MONMOUTH, Ore. — The Western Oregon University Foundation has released its 2025-2026 Annual Impact Report. Like the institution it serves, the WOU Foundation makes a tremendous impact in the lives of students, helping them to earn their degrees while keeping costs manageable. Funds raised by the WOU Foundation directly benefit hundreds of WOU students, the vast majority of whom are from Oregon, and ensure that WOU remains a driver of regional economic growth and development.

Total philanthropic contributions for the fiscal year reached $5,096,119 in new outright or committed private gifts and grants. For the sixth consecutive year, donor-funded scholarships and emergency student aid surpassed the $1 million threshold, delivering a total of $1,221,079 directly to students. These funds were distributed through immediate emergency grants and scholarships based on financial need, academic excellence, athletics participation, and leadership merit, allowing students to graduate and join the regional workforce.

Katie Wojke, vice president of advancement and executive director of the WOU Foundation, emphasized that donors provide critical support to students. “Support from private philanthropy and volunteer efforts plays a vital role in assisting students throughout their higher education journey,” Wojke stated. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors and volunteers for their impactful contributions that uplift Western and its students.”

The fiscal year also marked progress for the Wolves Rising campaign, Western’s first comprehensive fundraising effort. This campaign is a focused initiative to secure resources for student scholarships, Wolves Athletics, and student success programs. As of June 30, 2026, the campaign has raised $24,157,528, helping the university fulfill its mission of providing a personalized learning community where individuals experience a deep sense of belonging and empowerment.

The complete report is available in the online WOU Foundation 2026 Annual Report.
