Ally Training Curriculum & Workshops

The Safe Zone training is a 120-150 minute program that is tailored to meet the needs of the participants, but also offer a core set of values and information. We organize the training into modules that the facilitators can use to address the group with. If you have specific feedback about any training session or module, contact your facilitator or e-mail us at safezone@wou.edu.

Are you interested in more information about GLBTQ resources? The Safe Zone Resource Guide is available at Resource Guide.

If you are interested in GLBTQ training that doesn't involve becoming an Ally, the Safe Zone Committee is able to provide alternative workshops to meet your needs. Contact us at the Safe Zone e-mail address or utilize the intake form. We have developed several one-hour trainings on topics such as Coming Out As A College Student, the Power of Language, Transgender Identities and Lives, Hate Crimes, and many others.
