Annual Programs Cesar E. Chavez Leadership Conference This program is sponsored by CECLC, Inc and is hosted on the Western Oregon University campus.
Purpose: To instill in our Latino youth the value of education; which nurtures mind, body and spirit in order to develop a social consciousness that empowers them as leaders for social justice and civic responsibility in the greater community. This annual week-long event celebrates the legacy of Dr. King and promotes diversity by engaging our community in topics such as social justice, nonviolent social change, and equality for all. Events range from our annual Commemorative Dinner to the Nonviolence/Social Justice Student Essay Competition.
