What We Do

Our Mission:

The Center for Service Learning & Career Development provides a comprehensive approach to career preparation, professional development, and service to the community through relevant experiential education opportunities.  We aspire to develop aware, engaged, and thoughtful citizens who contribute to the greater society by taking action, encouraging change, and applying knowledge in the workforce and the world.

We are a primary source of service learning, career development, and student employment information and services for Western Oregon University students and faculty, on & off-campus community partners, alumni and job, internship and graduate school recruiters.

Our office offers many services: We help connect students with the community, the workforce and the world through:

CAREER DEVELOPMENT - Assist students in selecting a major, gaining experience in internships and job shadows, provide job internships search coaching and advice, and graduate school preparation guidance.
