Interviewing

Interviewing is one of the keys to successfully landing that job (or getting into Graduate School)! Use SLCD as a resource, we have our interviewing packet, we can give you tips, and you can practice interviews or phone interviews with our staff.

Want to practice your interview beforehand? Make an appointment to do a Mock Interview with SLCD staff. You’ll go through a practice interview experience and get feedback to help you for the real thing! You can do a Mock Phone Interview, too!

Networking Resources

Networking is about making contacts and building relationships that can lead to jobs or other professional opportunities. It is a two-way relationship that benefits both parties, and if done right, it can help you obtain leads, referrals, advice, information and support or provide these opportunities to the other person. It is an essential component of any successful career search

Part of the job offer process, salary negotiation can be a science and an art. But, it is always an important step in accepting an offer.
