Before coming to WOU, Donna lived in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where she taught Business English at Nissan, worked in real estate, and was the supervisor at a language institute. She developed a great love for international education and language learning, and is bilingual in English/Spanish. Currently residing in Salem, Donna is an avid reader and cat lover, and she and her husband find joy and humor in the experience of being a bicultural family.
Donna very much enjoys working in higher education, which gives her the opportunity to directly impact students and their dreams for the future. She is passionate about promoting the importance of participating in experiential learning and community service, and concentrates on promoting and developing internship opportunities, building relationships with employers, connecting with students through online media, and working with students to counsel them in their career pursuits.
