Fellowships and scholarships General Information As soon as you decide to study or intern abroad, make an appointment to see a financial aid counselor. Remember to take a copy of the budget for your program to your appointment. For additional information about study abroad and financial aid, click here. Though many types of financial aid and scholarships apply to study abroad and international internships, there are some exceptions. The Financial Aid Office can advise you about what will apply. WOU also offers a variety of scholarships, some of which you may be able to use for study abroad. WOU Scholarships for Study Abroad
AHA International is passionate about study abroad and hopes that every student is able to participate in a life-changing experience abroad. The AHA Institutional Scholarship is a monetary scholarship available to all students applying for any AHA study abroad program. Individual scholarships range between $500-$3,000 and are available now. Click Here to Learn More
AHA/NCSA WOU Scholarship This scholarship may be used for any AHA/NCSA fall, winter, spring, or summer program offered during 2012/13 or 2013/14. The total scholarship amount available is $1,282. Amount awarded to students averages $500 Guidelines | Application Deadlines: Fall programs, June 1; winter programs, October 1; Spring programs, January 1; Summer programs, March 1.
Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA) Scholarship Guidelines | Application (Available to students enrolled in CCSA programs.)
Friends of Gentle House Foreign Study Grant. Available to a WOU student in the German Program. Criteria | Application Deadlines: Winter term: October 30; Spring term, February 1; Summer or Fall terms, April 1. One $1,000 scholarship available.
CISabroad Scholarship (Available to students accepted to CIS programs.) Application. Scholarships for IE3 Internships Two types of IE3 Program Scholarships are available to students: 1) scholarships for highly-qualified students whose financial limitations would otherwise make participation in the program a hardship; and 2) scholarships based on student merit as demonstrated in the scholarship application essay and the IE3 Global Internship program application.
