The idea behind this display was to provide a way for our current WOU community to view the lives of past students and faculty. As we were in
the Sesquicentennial year, it would have been ideal to have photos from
the 1850's and 1860's. We have few photos of student life during that time, however, so we chose to do a display of student and faculty life from 100 years ago, using images from the Commencement Issue of the Oregon State Normal School student publication, The Courier.
