Distance Program Admissions

Out-of-state distance students currently may not enroll in online degree programs at WOU if they reside in Arkansas, Massachusetts, or Minnesota.

WOU is not able to offer courses to online students residing in these three states at this time. Please contact us if you are unsure if this applies to you. Students who currently reside in these states but are applying for admission to on-campus programs are not affected. However, you may face complications completing the electronic application, please contact Deb Charlton from the Graduate Office regarding your alternative application options:

If you are a prospective online student, however, we urge you to consider contacting your state legislative bodies about these restrictions, encouraging them to consider reciprocal agreements between state authorizing agencies that allow students from your state to attend other institutions more freely.
